Dear brothers and sisters,
The Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord on August 19.
On Tuesday, August 19, the Divine Liturgy begins at 10:00 a.m.
After the service, according to tradition, fruits of the new harvest will be blessed.
The Sunday service will be led by Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad.
On Saturday, August 23, the All-night Vigil begins at 6:00 p.m.
On Sunday, August 24, the Divine Liturgy begins at 10:00 a.m.
Everyone is invited to a festal trapeza after the Liturgy. If you are able to bring some kind of dish, our parish will be very grateful. The Dormition fast is currently underway and, therefore, dishes for trapeza should not contain meat, fish, fowl, or dairy products.
Our parish invites you to take part on Thursday, August 21, anytime from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the preparation for meeting the First Hierarch.
May the Lord protect you.
Parish dean, Hieromonk Gabriel.
