Dear brothers and sisters,
We invite everyone to share with us in the joy of the Bright Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord. First, the most important: our upcoming service schedule is as follows:
On Confessions as we approach
the Bright Resurrection of our Lord
All those who partake of the Mystery of Confession beginning this Thursday evening, April 26th, may partake of Holy Communion at any Divine Liturgy this weekend, throughout Holy Week, and on Pascha without additional Confession.
Confession is available during any evening service (NB: Services will be conducted at our church every evening from Thursday until Pascha itself) and before the start of Divine Liturgy. To avoid needless prolonging the Divine Services, and so that all may peacefully and properly experience the Divine Liturgy as the common prayer of the whole Church, conduction Confession during the Divine Liturgy is undesirable in the extreme.
On the night of Pascha, Confessions will be heard only from 10 - 11 pm, before the start of the Resurrectional Midnight Office. If none of these times are suitable, please reach out to the rector (contact info below) to arrange an alternate time to meet for confession.
Blessing of Paschal Baskets
The blessing of Paschal baskets will take place in our church:
1) On the night of Holy Pascha, at the end of Divine Liturgy
2) On the same day, following Agape Vespers (which begins at 12 pm), and then at 2, 3, and 4 pm.
3) On Bright Monday morning, following the Divine Liturgy
Paschal baskets will not be blessed on Holy Saturday.
