Farewell to father Gabriel

Our Dear Friends,
To our great sorrow, yesterday our parish lost our leader with the unexpected passing of our dear pastor, Father Gabriel.

The services will be in the following order:

Saturday (June 16): 6PM vespers and panikhida

Sunday (June 17): 10AM liturgy and panikhida

Monday (June 18):

  • 5:30PM vigil (with bishop Nicholas)
  • 7:00AM panikhida

On Tuesday, June 19, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan will lead the funeral services:

  • 9:00AM Greeting Bishop,
  • 9:30AM Liturgy,
  • 12:00PM monastic funeral service and farewell

Thursday (June 21):
1:00PM Burial at the Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, NY.

The evening of Russian Romance in our church.

 

Sunday, October 12 2014 there was a joint serice and picnic at Cheraw Park. Parishes of Russian Orthodox Church from North and South Carolinas parcicipated there.

 

August 23 and 24 2014 Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Outside of Russia has visited our parish.

The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was served with participation of archpriest Anastasy P. Yatrelis, rector of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church in Summerville, SC, archpriest Alexander Logunov, rector of Church of the Reigning Mother of God in Charlotte, NC and archpriest Alexandre Antchoutine, rector of church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin & St. Sergius in Glen Cove, NY.

After the service there was a festal trapeza and a little concert.
