Names for the Liturgy. Support the Church

Dear brothers and sisters!

In this difficult time, it is infinitely important for us to support each other with deeds of love.
We remain in prayer for our entire Parish and, of course, do not deny anyone spiritual guidance, Holy Sacraments, conversations, and other possible help.

In the current mode of services, you can send your notes with names for commemoration at the Divine Liturgy to the following e-mail address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

And, of course, our Church needs the help of each of you. We ask you to support our Parish with your prayer and material means. This is especially true at the present time, when we continue to perform our services even under strict restrictions.

  • You can send your donation by check to the address of the Church: Holy Trinity Orthodox Church 6803 US 70 Mebane, NC 27302;

IMPORTANT INFORMATION. EMERGENCY MEASURE.

Dear brothers and sisters!

Please READ CAREFULLY the following extremely important message.

Due to the authorities ' special tightening of measures to combat coronavirus (both in the whole country and state, and locally in the area of the Church), we have not been able to perform services as before for some time. In many cases, churches are forced to take unprecedented measures, as Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, vicar of the Eastern American diocese, informs with sadness, concern for the flock and blessing in his address on the official website of the ROCOR.
We thank God that we have the opportunity to pray in the temple at all and it is not closed. However, with sadness in our hearts and love, we take the following extraordinary measures in accordance with the law, the blessing of the Church authorities, and the rules of the Church:
  1. In the next three weeks we will have only Sunday Divine Liturgies in our Church;
  2. During the entire divine Liturgy, only the priest, altars and choir will be present and pray in the Church (in General, no more than 10 people), all the others are forced to refrain from visiting the Church;
  3. However, those parishioners who wish to confess and receive communion can, as usual, properly prepared, come to the Church during the Liturgy between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., get the Sacraments and return home for personal prayer;
  4. Without any embarrassment, it is possible and necessary to contact me by those who are in self-isolation and have a genuine intention to confess and receive communion at home;

But we will celebrate the Easter service on the night of April 18-19 in the way that is appropriate in an Orthodox Church — all together in joint prayer, in celebration and joy for the risen Christ.

Dear brothers and sisters, we are going through difficult times, and all of us, of course, need firmness of spirit and trust in the Lord, prayers, understanding and support. All this adds up to true love, which we learn throughout our earthly journey.
And I ask the prayers of each of you for me, for our parish, and I call on all of us the blessing of the Holy Trinity!

The Lord is my enlightenment and my Savior, who am I afraid of? The Lord is the protector of my life, who should I fear? (Ps. 26:1)

Once again, I remind you that with any question, embarrassment or request, you can safely and openly contact me.

Hieromonk Nikon, rector of the Holy Trinity Church in Mebane.
